Terms of Service

1. The Service

Bookery AI is a tool that helps you generate, edit, format, and export book-length written content using artificial intelligence. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Service. One person or entity per account.

3. Plans, billing, and renewals

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on each renewal until you cancel. Prices may change with notice; changes apply to the next billing cycle. You are responsible for applicable taxes. Cancellation and refunds are described in our Refund Policy.

4. Usage limits

Each plan includes a monthly allowance (for example, a number of chapters or generations). We may apply rate limits and reasonable technical limits to protect the Service. Attempting to circumvent quotas, scrape the Service, or resell access is prohibited.

5. Your content and ownership

You retain ownership of the text and materials you input ("Input") and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, the output generated for you ("Output"). You are responsible for your Input and for how you use the Output, including ensuring you have the rights to any material you provide and that your use complies with law and any third-party platform rules (such as Amazon KDP).

You grant us a limited license to process your Input and Output solely to operate and improve the Service (for example, sending text to our AI providers to generate results, and storing your books so you can access them).

6. AI: important disclaimers

The Service uses third-party AI models. AI Output can be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or similar to content generated for others. Output is not guaranteed to be original, factually correct, or suitable for any purpose. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying Output before relying on or publishing it. We do not guarantee that any book will be accepted by, or comply with the policies of, any publishing or distribution platform.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to create or distribute unlawful, infringing, harmful, deceptive, or abusive content; to violate others' intellectual property or privacy; to generate spam or bulk low-quality content for deceptive purposes; or to attempt to disrupt or reverse engineer the Service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bookery AI will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to comply with law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive will survive.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
